Encouragement to BNVS students from Ms. Mary Chandler, CEO of Cummins Foundation

On June 7th, 2017

I was just tutored your school, you are so lucky to have such a precious educational opportunity. I come from an American family. My parents believe in education. They sent me to primary school, middle school, university and further education. This helped me accomplished my dreams. What is your dreams? Who want to share your dreams with me? (Students shared their dreams)

These dreams are great, but all of them have a common requirement. Do you know what it is? (Students answered-hard work. ) That is right. It is Hard Work. All the employees from Cummins who sit here, as well as all employees in other companies, every day they come to work early and leave their work late. They always volunteer to do the things that others do not want to do and they volunteer to take extra tasks. That means when you will start the internship, you should also go to work on time every day, work hard, show up early, leave late, volunteer to do the difficult jobs, and do some extra work before you boss require you do that.

The only way to become successful and accomplish dreams is to work hard. No matter where you are, the definition of hard work and the road to success is always the same. The president of the Cummins Group success the same way as all of you and he works hard the same way as all of you. Hard working means looking at others’ eyes when you talk with them. Hard working means do not look at your cell phone when you are working. Hard working means have health hygiene. Hard working means eat health food and do exercise. Hard working means to be kind with others. Hard working means take care of your family. Hard working means give back your community. I hope I will read your accomplishment in newspapers one day. I hope after your accomplishment you would stand here and share your learning with the youth who will sit where you sit now. I will always watch you from and when I hear your accomplishment I will cheer and congratulate to you.
